“Amber Heard Aquaman 2” is all anyone has been talking about lately. News has recently leaked that its costar Jason Momoa is fighting for Amber Heard to keep her forthcoming role in Aquaman 2. This is even amid all the courtroom drama she is embroiled in. This stands in stark contrast to some other news reported recently. Though the public may not stand behind her right now, Momoa and director James Wan still are.
What Have You Heard?
In lieu of some recent news that has dropped about the tumultuous relationship between Heard and her ex-husband Johnny Depp, all eyes have been on the forthcoming Aquaman sequel. Much speculation has begun about how the film and her role in it could be affected by the outcome of the trial. Though many have been adamant about her getting dropped from the Mera role, the star of the film Jason Momoa seems to be the main reason she even still has the job at all.
The reality is that big banner films like this have a lot of investors and money involved. Studios know negative press can mean far less success in the numbers at the box office, so they often want to distance themselves from celebrity drama. In this instance, when the talk turned to dropping the allegedly toxic Heard from the sequel, Momoa intervened.
Trial By Fire
With that support being avowed from the movie’s star and with the film’s director James Wan saying he feels the same way, Heard is still cast. It looks like the outcome of this trial may have no real effect on her role in the movie. While this may anger some of those following the trial and its sordid details, that happens. The public needs to remember we have no real say in this. How this Amber Heard Aquaman 2 scenario plays out is out of our hands.
If nothing else, this whole mess will open some eyes. Perhaps this trial will humble those involved. Maybe they will come out better people on the other side of it.
