It looks like Jason Statham is competing with The Rock to be the most ubiquitous bald guy ever because now, he’s in World of Tanks. The Fast and Furious star has recently and officially become World of Tanks‘ ambassador in its latest promotion. Statham notably took over the ad and teamed up with Santa for World of Tanks‘ Christmas event.
To be more specific, World of Tanks‘ Christmas event is called Holiday Ops 2025 and it’s a big bundle of joy for nice and naughty kids alike. The Holiday Ops 2025 event starts on December 6, 2024, and runs until January 13, 2025.
The promotion even features a working M4A2E8 Sherman tank from the tank war film Fury along with the explosions you can expect from a production involving Jason Statham. Here’s the trailer in its full glory:
And this is not just Jason Statham promoting World of Tanks to everyone. He also has an actual tank in-game called the Centurion Action X with the “British Steel” skin. Statham swears by it, claiming it’s brutal and tough, just like him (and who are we to argue?).
On top of that, the Holiday Ops 2025 event will feature a festive hangar. Players will be given special assignments here and additional missions. The rewards consist of goodies from Jason Statham himself and these remain as surprises.
Jason Statham Joins the List
Granted, Jason Statham isn’t exactly the first Hollywood celebrity to appear in a World of Tanks promotion. Previous Holiday Ops events included Arnold Schwarzenegger, Milla Jovovich, and even Vinnie Jones. Jason Statham, however, came in rather strong and even wanted to either team up with or fight against Santa.
So while the promotional trailer shows him being chummy with the big red, he’s likely ready to spring into action should Santa put him on the naughty list.
