There’s a very good reason why you’re taught as a child to look both ways before crossing the road. In fact, when you have children of your own, this is a fact that you should also be teaching them. Because, if not, they might jaywalk into the middle of heavy traffic and get hit by a delivery driver just trying to do his job. Fortunately, in the age of the internet, these interactions get recorded and then posted to Reddit for everyone to see.
The video depicts a delivery driver on a scooter driving through traffic with a large package on the back of the vehicle. As he is driving, a family of three (a mother, father and child) shows up between the cars and steps in front of the scooter driver. Unfortunately, the man on the scooter didn’t have enough time to stop and hits one of them. Although it is very clearly the family’s fault for stepping out onto the street during heavy traffic, the father immediately gets upset with the driver and starts beating him up.
Luckily, a passerby who happened to be recording, caught the whole thing and urged the man to stop hitting the other one. It took some time before he finally calmed down, making it a rather stressful situation in the middle of the road. The commenters in the replies criticize the man walking for both not paying attention and not ensuring that his family is alright.
“Don’t make sure you’re wife is ok or anything.”
As the reply with the most upvotes, many commenters primarily replied under that one, saying that the man should have checked on both his wife and the pizza that fell.

Fortunately, it looks as though nobody was severely injured throughout the video. However, I hope that the man and his family who were walking think twice the next time they decide to try jaywalking on a busy road.
