JD Vance Takes a Cheap Shot at Former Presidents During Washington Conference: ‘Today We Have a Grifting Presidential Family’

What an insane thing to say

The current presidential administration in the US has been anything but productive, despite having accomplished various objectives within its own entanglements. Most recently, funds have been pulled from various departments across the country in order to continue pushing for whatever it is that Donald Trump and his aides want. In a press conference in Washington, Virginia, for a news outlet, JD Vance made an interesting claim about presidents from 25 years ago in comparison to what we are currently dealing with.

Vance: I empathize with Americans who are exhausted after 25 years of foreign entanglements in the Middle East. I understand the concern, but the difference is that back then we had dumb presidents

In a recent interview with NBC concerning foreign entanglements and what our current administration plans on doing to correct that moving forward, Vice President JD Vance had some interesting comments to make. More specifically, he claimed that presidents from 25 years ago were all dumb and had no idea how to handle that particular situation. In that same statement, he claims that the current administration knows exactly how to do what previous administrations couldn’t.

Plenty of commenters within the Reddit post disagree with Vance, with one person saying, “We have respectable, patriotic presidents 25+ years ago. Today we have a grifting Presidential Family taking advantage of the seat and taking land that doesnโ€™t belong to them.” Others are even comparing George W. Bush’s presidency to Donald Trump’s, claiming the former to have been much better.

Personally, as an adult during this current administration, I can safely say that things are looking incredibly bleak. There have been nationwide services that have all but been shut down completely in favor of moving money to different militaristic departments or to line the pockets of officials. However, I was also alive and aware during the George W Bush administration, and can’t really say that was all too great. However, I can safely say that I was never afraid of being kidnapped by the government or having any of my family members sent away to unknown places as I am now.
