Jennifer Aniston largely received praise for her glittering look at last month’s Emmy Awards, but fans found plenty to complain about on Instagram as the 55-year-old broke down her glam for the night. Posting a video on her LolaVie haircare brand’s social media, Jennifer walked fans through her headline-making “California Sleek” hair, showing off her world-famous locks while displaying her incredible figure in a strapless dress.
Confirming that she’d prepped her hair with products entirely from her 2021-founded brand, Jennifer played brand ambassador while dazzling the camera, but the comments section showed an unimpressed crowd. Fans lashed out calling the sitcom star’s hair “boring,” with one user even gaining likes for saying that she’s “aging” badly.
Jennifer Aniston Shows Instagram Her Glam Emmys Look
Modeling a strapless beaded gown from designer Oscar de la Renta, Jen channeled classic red carpet vibes in her shoulder-baring number.
Highlighting her slim waist and fierce hips, the Friends star wowed in a semi-sheer, beaded gown falling to the floor, oozing elegance while dripping in diamonds. Telling fans that she’d used both a shampoo and conditioner from her best-selling range, Jen confirmed she’d also applied the LolaVie Sculpting Paste and Lightweight Hair Oil, and with a blow-dry and “flick flick flick,” she was done.
“No gatekeeping red carpet-ready hair here 🙂↔️✨ @jenniferaniston shares how to get her “California Sleek” hair for the 2024 Emmy Awards,” a caption read.
Told She’s Boring And ‘Not Aging Well’
Fans, who tend to be supportive of Jen, proved the opposite. Over 150 users liked a comment slamming the TV star’s appearance.
“I’m confused by comments saying she’s flawless. Personally i don’t think she’s aging well at all,” the user wrote. Earlier this year, Aniston sparked cosmetic procedure rumors as she and fellow actress Sandra Bullock were spotted leaving a plastic surgeon’s office in Connecticut.
“What did she do to her face? No facial expressions,” another fan said, gaining over 40 likes. While one fan wondered if Jen had been using Botox or even had a “facelift,” another moaned: “It’s been over 25 years and she still has the same haircut, sooooo boring!!!”
Jen became iconic for her “Rachel” haircut back in 1994, when her profile exploded as sitcom Friends began airing. While the actress has admitted that she hated the choppy, heavily layered style, the status stuck, and it’s still turning heads in 2024.
One fan even wondered if Jen’s highlighted locks were her own. Throwing shade, they wrote: “I love Jen but she forgot to mention hair extension.”
