She is so set on convincing her family and friends that she is fine and moving on that she is going to all extremes to prove it.
The This Is Me Now singer needs to feel sexy and desirable. Jenneifer Lopez wants Ben Affleck eating his heart out, so during her current tour, she is coming across extra sexy and bold. However, what Jennifer feels is that showing off her hotness is not going over too well with those close to the singer. They want her to take it down a notch or two, according to Star Magazine insiders.
Jen’s inner circle isn’t exactly loving it. They’re reportedly begging her to cool it with the oversharing. One insider says that while they understand she’s all about the glam sex-symbol image, she may be pushing the envelope a bit too far and feels it is making her come across as desperate.
Jennifer Lopez’s Family and Friends Cringing
During her recent performance at the Lucca Summer Festival in Italy, Lopez stopped mid-show to deliver a full-on TMI monologue about her love life. Jennifer even went as far as to share with the audience that she enjoys everything from candlelit romance to wanting it “real fast.”
Lopez insiders reportedly sat down with Jennifer and told her that she is going too far. And her behavior is not gaining quite the reaction and buzz she wanted. It is doing just the opposite. Obviously, there is no gentle way to tell JLo that she is not as young as she used to be and that this type of public behavior is coming off as desperate.
“They’re worried she’s making herself look desperate and embarrassing her family in the process,” adds the Lopez insider. While Lopez may be “healing through her art,” those closest to her think it’s getting a little exhausting. It is also not having the slightest effect on Ben at all.
Affleck knows exactly how Jennifer operates, and he’s not about to take the bait. Instead of feeding the spectacle, he’s reportedly keeping his distance, refusing to dignify her behavior with a reaction.
Jennifer Lopez might be calling this era her time of empowerment. However, to those watching in shock and embarrassment from the wings, it’s starting to look more like a midlife meltdown.
