Jennifer Lopez is reportedly not buying Jennifer Garner‘s good girl persona. The singer is said to be blaming the actress for playing a huge part in her split from Ben Affleck. JLo filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024. After their breakup, Affleck was seen spending a significant amount of time with his first wife, Garner. Now, sources claim that Lopez believes that Garner is the “real villain” in the situation.
According to a report by In Touch Weekly, Jennifer Lopez isn’t happy about how things have played out between her, Jennifer Garner, and their mutual ex, Ben Affleck. Things were said to hit a boiling point after Affleck ditched JLo on Thanksgiving. Instead, he and Garner spent the day with their three children, Violet, Fin, and Samuel. Those close to the singer claim that she believes Affleck and Garner are now set to rekindle their romance.
“It’s so humiliating because she feels like she was played for a total fool, like she ignored her own instincts because she wanted to believe the lies Ben told her,” the informant dished.
“She’s furious with Ben, but in her view, it’s Jen that’s the real villain because she acted like this total sweetheart to Jen’s face and made a show of wanting to help when in reality she was running interference the whole time.”
Jennifer Lopez Blames Jennifer Garner for Ben Affleck Divorce
Lopez allegedly wanted to spend the holidays with Affleck and their once-blended family. However, an insider says that the actor feels much more comfortable spending time with Garner and their kids. Ben is said to feel “at ease” with his first wife. He allegedly doesn’t feel any pressure from Garner and feels that he can be himself.
JLo is now reportedly “suspicious” about the nature of Ben’s relationship with his ex-wife. She is said to believe that the world seeing Affleck and Garner act like a “happy family” is only proving her theory.
“[It] has only made her even more sure she was right all along,” said the source. “JLo is sick over it and goes back and forth between crying and raging.”
Meanwhile, another source tells the outlet that Garner’s family is rooting for her to get back together with Affleck. The pair were married from 2005 until 2018. However, they have remained very close friends since their split. The actress even supported Affleck through his rehab stay following their divorce filing.
In the years since their divorce, Ben Affleck has reportedly done a lot of work on himself. This has made Jennifer Garner’s friends and family wonder if the pair could make it work a second time around.
“In a lot of ways he is a different person,” said the insider. “It’s hard for Jen’s friends and family not to want to see them back together because when things are good between them they are so good!”
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez is forced to interact with both Affleck and Garner in social situations. The trio’s children go to the same school and have become close over the years. This means that they’re bound to bump into each other whether they want to or not.
