Jennifer Lopez is facing backlash for her latest look on Instagram. The singer, 55, updated her account last weekend with stunning snapshots, posing in a flirty little skirt and matching jacket as she rocked the thigh-highs trend. Showing off her killer legs and ageless beauty, JLo gained plenty of fan likes, but the response was somewhat frosty as The Daily Mail covered the share.
While Lopez largely received positive reviews for her classy Dior look earlier this month, seen above, those seeing last weekend’s leggy snaps only seemed in the mood to shame the star. One of the most-liked comments age-shamed Jennifer, telling her that a skirt that short just wasn’t fitting for someone in their “mid-fifties.”

Posing indoors and looking incredibly glamorous, JLo opened her gallery seated and with her legs kicked up a little.
Rocking a blue silk skater miniskirt that fed into a chic blazer jacket, the ex to Ben Affleck flashed her gym-honed thighs, hinting at her over-the-knee boots while wearing her sleeves slightly rolled up. Adding pops of gold from button detailing, plus plenty of ring jewelry, the “Dinero” hitmaker teamed her dark blue manicure to her dress, showing the camera a gaze as she parted her lips.
Wearing her luscious locks down and even blonder than usual, Jennifer looked decades younger than her years, wearing a full face of makeup and going heavy on the blush and bronzer. Further photos in the gallery showed the star in shades and eventually revealing her high-heeled, black leather boots.
Basically Told To Dress Her Age
Users on The Daily Mail weren’t too kind.
“Imagine being in your mid fifties and still so thirsty for stranger’s validation and attention,” one fan said, gaining over 250 upvotes. Noting the singer’s status as a mom of two, another gained likes for writing: “What’s is wrong with her? Stop this attention seeking, be wiser, go be with your kids, guide them, you have put them through a lot over the years.”
JLo gained over 900,000 likes for the share, although she limited comments. The post attracted a celebrity like from SKIMS mogul Kim Kardashian. Fans have been watching JLo glow up since the August news that she’s divorcing estranged husband Ben Affleck, and its quite likely that those limited comments are a result of the media frenzy Lopez has faced since sparking split rumors this summer. She and Batman star Ben Affleck were engaged in the early 2000s. In 2022, they tied the knot, but didn’t last, making it Jen’s fourth divorce.
