Having a seven-ton snowplow crush you may seem impossible to recover from, but apparently not. Jeremy Renner’s trainer, Christopher Vincent, spoke to People magazine about the actor’s recovery. The chiropractic sports physician, who worked with the Marvel star on and off since 2011, praised the actor for his “determination” to get better since his New Year’s accident.
Since his injuries of over 30 crushed bones and more, the recovery of Jeremy Renner has been shown to the world. He recently made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel with a cane to assist his walking. Visitors have been surprised by how much he is progressing; Evangeline Lilly was shocked to see him moving around in a wheelchair when she visited him in February.
“He’s an extremely unique and rare person. I’ve worked with hundreds and thousands of athletes, celebrities, regular people, and it’s really a special personality that has that drive and determination. [He will] get through it to where you are back stronger than you were before the accident.”

Vincent spoke about how having 30-something broken bones is endless poking at the brain’s “pain signals” and that “you can’t override them.” Having constant pain makes it difficult to sleep, which slows down recovery. So, Vincent and his team have the actor on an anti-inflammatory diet with supplements to mitigate the pain.
For Jeremy Renner to make a full recovery, he needed to keep moving as our bodies are meant to. So, Vincent turned the actor’s home into “a full rehab center.” Equipment like an anti-gravity treadmill helped get him in better shape, like being able to finally walk on red carpets and on stage for a talk show appearance.
Getting back to work is far out for the actor. Still, anything he filmed before gives fans a taste of what he had going on before the accident. His Paramount+ series, Mayor of Kingstown, recently had its second season earlier this year. Yesterday (April 12), his Disney Plus series Rennnervations debuted. The docuseries follows him around the world to recreate vehicles into something that can benefit communities. It even has an appearance from Marvel co-star Anthony Mackie.
