Jessica is allegedly thinking about her former relationship with singer John Mayer, and considering a romantic reunion.
According to the February 24 edition of Star Magazine, Jessica Simpson might be looking for a rebound relationship with her former boyfriend, John Mayer. Over the years, there have been media tales of Simpson and Mayer’s steamy relationship. While it didn’t last the first time around, there could be something to revisiting the romance now.
Simpson allegedly believes that Mayer has still got it, and believes that they may need to rekindle what they once had. Even if it’s just for closure on their former relationship.
“Back during that relationship, it was all Jessica talked about,” an insider dished. “John’s still incredibly sexy, and she thinks there’s some unfinished business there.”

The duo first met at a Grammy party in 2005. They began dating the following year after Simpson split from her first husband, Nick Lachey. Things were so hot between Mayer and Simpson that the singer wrote about the relationship in her memoir. In the book, she remembered how intense their love affair really was.
“[John] told me he was obsessed with me, sexually and emotionally,” Simpson wrote, adding that she “fell in love with his intensity.”
However, Jessica and John had a bit of a messy split. The musician gave a very detailed 2010 interview about his former girlfriend. He even called her a “sexual napalm.” After that, Simpson admitted that she deleted his number from her phone. “He made it easy for me to walk away,” she wrote in her memoir.
Meanwhile, things could be much different this time around. Jessica Simpson is a different person than she was before her marriage to Eric Johnson.
