John Legend talks about challenges regarding their journey to parenthood. In an honest tone, he explained how they have patronized IVF for their children’s birth, and how they struggled with losing their child.
The singer concluded that their openness was directed to heal others who had suffered the same fate. In his words:
“We’ve been open about it because we’ve had challenges… and I think a lot of families grow through that, but I think a lot of people were happy that we talked about it because they didn’t feel so alone.”
In the wake of the interview, Legend confessed his fear of sibling rivalry when his wife was pregnant. He explained the older kids were somewhat jealous.
However, once Esti joined the team, they became inseparable. Instead, they are showing off their older siblings’ instincts. Truly, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have found their happy place after a painful loss. In 2020, they were heartbroken after losing their son, Jack, at 20 weeks.
Though the loss was reported as a miscarriage, the model clarified that it was an abortion carried out to save her life. When she fell pregnant again, Teigen did not hesitate to tell her fans she was expecting, claiming “joy has filled our home and hearts again,” in her post.
