As Yuji Itadori re-enters the battle against Ryomen Sukuna, the Jujutsu Sorcerer finally hits his stride with an explosion of blows that rivals Satoru Gojo! Chapter 256 of Jujutsu Kaisen begins with a flashback of Gojo explaining how Black Flash works and why a sorcerer can not use it at will. Gojo states that there is no answer to Black Flash’s activation. It is pure luck—even for a sorcerer as strong as the Honored one.
After Sukuna landed two black flashes in Chapter 255, Miguel believes he has regained his Reversed Cursed Technique, just like Gojo did. Choso quickly moves in for the kill before Sukuna can heal once again. Yuji then swoops in, trying to restrain The King of Curses while Choso attacks, but Sukuna is able to dodge. Maki then tries to stab Sukuna but instead is hit with yet another Sukuna Black Flash.
Jujutsu Kaisen Heats up as Yuji Itadori Goes All Out!
After more fighting Yuji Itadori is able to get into close combat with Sukuna and hits him with Piercing Blood! As Sukuna pushes Yuji away, he senses that the Sorcerer is entering the zone. According to Jujutsu Kaisen leaks via Twitter, just like Mahito was able to sense a Black Flash from Yuji in Shibuya, Ryomen Sukuan knows what is coming. Even with that knowledge, Yuji is able to land the blow on Sukuna.
The Narrator then states “By unlocking his potential through Black Flash, amidst the sparks, Yuji Itadori awakens!” The Chapter ends with an editor’s comment saying “Even the light of hope shines black!”
