DC is giving readers a taste of what awaits in the finale of Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong. The publisher is showing off a few covers for the concluding issue releasing this April. Issue 7 will be the culmination of this crossover event between Legendary Comics’ Legendary Monsterverse and DC. As the two worlds head to war, these special covers show the Justice League teaming up with Godzilla and Kong to take these new threats on.
Justice League Vs. Godzilla Vs. Kong
The epic end of the Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong series means a final confrontation for the heroes and monsters. As the world of the Monsterverse spreads into the DC Universe, chaos has erupted. Now, a newly re-formed Mechagodzilla is threatening everything the Justice League fights for. Plus, this Mecha-monster has teamed up with a new villain. A new deadly hybrid Titan has emerged out of this crashing of worlds, and it is something neither side is prepared for.
Of course, the Justice League will not go down without a fight. DCs’ recently revealed main cover and variants for the issue show a team of heroes ready to take on these monsters. While artist Drew Johnson is tackling the main cover, several variants show a fight of monster proportions awaiting readers. Artists Jim Lee and Scott Williams, Dan Mora, Mikel Janin, and Kendrick “Kunkka” Lim lend their talents for these variant covers. The final issue arrives on April 16.
More Monsters And Mayhem
The seven issue Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong series is also getting the hardcover treatment later this year. A hardcover graphic novel of the special crossover series is currently available for pre-order. This comes after the first two issues sold out quickly. This pushed DC to release a “Monster-Sized Edition” that collected the first two issues in one. Seeing the success of the crossover, this will likely not be the last time that monsters invade the DC Universe.
The collected hardcover graphic novel releases on June 25.
