Just hours after releasing his new single Selfish, Justin Timberlake is onto new adventures, gearing up for a world tour which he announced on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Falon. Justin Timberlake hasn’t exactly been the most-loved celebrity since the release of Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman in Me. The book aired shocking revelations about the crooner’s life, including her abortion decades ago during her relationship with Justin.
The revelation that the Mirrors crooner forced his then-girlfriend to have an abortion ultimately smeared his Hollywood Golden Boy status. While Justin has considered taking legal actions against the Toxic singer for defamation, the ultimate showdown is still brewing. Until then, the singer is having his moment riding on the waves of the scandal.
Justin Timberlake Unveils New World Tour
Appearing on The Tonight Show on Thursday, Justin Timberlake discussed his career endeavors with host Jimmy Falon, including plans for a world tour. The tour, christened Forget Tomorrow [World] Tour, would commence on April 29, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada, and run through July. The final show performance would take place live at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky on July 9.
Justin Timberlake’s upcoming world tour will include stops in up to 22 cities including Seattle, Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. The international leg would feature concerts in Europe and the UK. It would mark the vocalist’s first musical outing in five years.
A day prior to the world tour announcement, Justin Timberlake released the single, Selfish, which coincided with the release date of Britney Spears’ song of the same title released 13 years ago. Fans were quick to point this out, deeming it no coincidence. Whatever the case might have been, the move worked wonders as within hours, it rose to the top of the charts, second only to Britney’s 2011 version. With a world tour and a chart-topping hit single, Justin Timberlake is surely living it up in the music realm, which is surprising considering his career nearly took a nose dive barely weeks ago.
