Famous singer Justin Timberlake was recently arrested for a DWI. However, it seems like the artist could have avoided the situation entirely. It has been reported that the young cop who would eventually place Timberlake in handcuffs had stopped him early in the day and warned him not to continue his trip. If only Justin would have listened to the law enforcement officer. Then maybe he wouldn’t be in this situation.
According to the NY Post, JT was actually giving a warning during his first run-in with police. The now famous police officer has been identified as 23-year-old Michael Arkinson. After the first stop, the officer believed that was the end of it and that JT would just get a ride home.
Justin Timberlake Could Have Avoided His DWI
“He was stopped and advised not to drive,” the source said. “The officer didn’t recognize him; he’s a young guy. And he still gave Justin a break because he didn’t pose an immediate danger.”
However, that was not the end of things. Later that night, Officer Arkinson was still out on patrol when he spotted Justin Timberlake’s 2025 BMW SUV once again. JT was stopped the second time after he allegedly drove through a stop sign at a four-way stop. The singer also reportedly swerved his vehicle into the left lane.
The father of two has acknowledged that he has struggled with alcoholism in the past. However, he told the officer he had a single martini at dinner with his friends. It is not known who Timberlake was out with, but many top-tier celebrities live in the area. It really could have been any number of very famous individuals.
Justin Timberlake’s DWI charge comes smack dab in the middle of his Forget Tomorrow world tour. Many fans are very upset with JT and his lack of responsibility. He is also being targeted by Mother Against Drunk Driving. Timberlake could have avoided all of this if he had listened to Officer Arkinson the first time around.
