An annoying incident on a plane involving Kaley Cuoco and a passenger has come to light. Recently, the star actress sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on his show to recount the occurrence that happened over Thanksgiving in 2023. During the candid chat, Cuoco revealed that the incident with the passenger left her on the verge of losing her composure. What made the revelation even more surprising and funny was that Kaley Cuoco said she almost strangled the passenger. Thankfully, the Hollywood icon chose self-control over violence and simply ignored the situation.
Kaley Cuoco Recounts Her Daughter’s Stressful First Flight
In November 2023, Kaley Cuoco and a passenger on a plane could have easily had an altercation, but the actress chose to let it slide. On Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the 38-year-old opened up about the incident, which left her grappling with overwhelming frustration. Cuoco shared that it happened during her nine-month-old daughter Matilda‘s first flight. The actress revealed that she and her partner, Tom Pelphery, brought a sound machine on the plane to help get their child to sleep.
“So she’s crying. It was hard. She finally falls asleep and she’s on Tom and the sound machine is on and we were finally like [ugh],” Cuoco told Kimmel.
Sadly, their relief didn’t last long, as one of the air stewards came over to relay a request from an irked passenger.
“The Steward comes over and he’s like, ‘Hey, one of our passengers would love it if you would turn the sound machine off.’ And I’m sitting there, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God,'” Cuoco recalled.

Cuoco continued with her parenting story, revealing that the passenger wasn’t done and threw one more insult at the stressed-out first-time parents. She explained that when they landed, they saw that the annoying passenger was the woman in front of them. According to the actress, the woman said, “Oh, so your daughter does know how to smile.” Cuoco shared that it was at that moment she understood why women ended up on Dateline. What’s more, Kaley Cuoco said she could have strangled the passenger.
“I could have strangled her. I could’ve thrown that woman off the plane,” she added.
Afterward, the Flight Attendant star joked that she wanted “justice for babies” and referenced the viral videos of passengers throwing tantrums over crying kids during flights.
“You see all these things on social media where people are really, truly getting mad at these babies. Like, justice for babies! This is ridiculous … leave them alone!” Cuoco yelled.
Overall, it seems Cuoco is enjoying motherhood, considering she previously said having kids wasn’t on her radar. Hopefully, the actress won’t ever have to consider strangling someone again.
