A special preview of Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant shows Kamala Khan taking on her first mission for the X-Men. The new series follows the harrowing events of the Hellfire Gala as mutant-kind tries to rally against Orchis. Luckily, Ms. Marvel is now firmly on the mutant side of this war and ready to help. That help comes in the form of an undercover mission for the embiggened superhero.
Kamala Khan The Mutant
Kamala Khan, AKA Ms. Marvel, has been through quite the ringer in the past couple of weeks. While helping Spider-Man in Amazing Spider-Man, the young hero sacrificed herself for the greater good. However, while the Marvel Universe mourned, Krakoa began the resurrection protocols to bring the hero back. Now, a resurrected Kamala Khan is dealing with the fact that she is a mutant. However, she has no time to process as her return coincides with one of the greatest events in X-history: The Fall of X.
In Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant, Kamala is embracing her mutant status by taking on a dangerous mission for the X-Men. As the world reels from the events of the Hellfire Gala, Ms. Marvel must infiltrate the party responsible for the attack: Orchis.
First Look
Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant comes from Sabir Pirzada, Carlos Gomez, Adam Gorham, and Ms. Marvel herself, Iman Vellani. In a special look at the first issue, Kamala is heading out on her new mission. One that will put her in the path of mutants and enemies alike. It all kicks off with a sweet moment with her family as they send her off to New York. Then, Ms. Marvel is shown in the sewers taking on an alligator as Kate Pryde shows up.
Synch and Talon pop-up in the issue as Kamala meets up with them to report something. Then, we get to see her in her new mutant-inspired outfit as she takes on an attacking Chitauri.
