While fans are excited about the new couple, her ex-husband, Kanye West, is reportedly struggling with the shift and feeling jealous. Sources say seeing Kim with Lewis, a longtime friend, feels “weird” for the rapper as she moves on.
Seeing Kim With Lewis Feels Weird for Kanye West
Kanye West, 45, is reportedly “crazy jealous” of Kim Kardashian’s relationship with Lewis Hamilton, a friendship that spans over a decade. A source told Daily Mail:
“Ye is jealous, yup, it feels weird for him. It is always strange for him to see his ex-wife out with another man. It felt weird with Pete Davidson and now it feels weird with Lewis Hamilton.”
The source added, “That used to be Ye’s family, now Lewis is there, it’s hard to see,” even though West, 48, has been married to Bianca Censori since December 2022. Despite the jealousy, insiders say West’s marriage is “stable,” and he remains on good terms with Kim and their four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
From Friends to Public Sweethearts
Kardashian and Hamilton’s connection goes back years. In 2014, they were pictured with their then-partners, West and Nicole Scherzinger, at the GQ Men of the Year Awards. The following year, West invited Hamilton to spend Easter with his family, recalling:
“Lewis Hamilton’s over at my house and we’re playing some music in my studio. We’re having an Easter brunch and all of the family’s there, my wife’s family, my friends, everything. And everybody’s like, ‘What is this music?’ And I’m like, ‘It’s Lewis Hamilton’s music.’ They’re like, ‘Oh my God. It’s really good.’”
Lewis has also maintained close ties with Kardashian’s family, including her sister Kendall Jenner and mother Kris Jenner, who has been seen supporting him at events like the Monaco Grand Prix.
The couple made their first public appearance together at the Super Bowl in Santa Clara, California, and recently shared a romantic weekend in the UK’s Cotswolds, enjoying dinner and couples’ massages.
Despite West moving on, the source confirms he’s doing fine: “He is on good terms with Kardashian and his four children he had with her.” Kim herself recently shared on Khloe’s podcast Khloe In Wonder Land that she and West are “on friendly terms.”
