I feel as though there is nothing worse then being denied travel when you’re already at the airport gate. Just arriving to an airport requires so much planning that I can’t even imagine not getting on the plane when I’m supposed to. However, one woman decided to make it her mission to make a Southwest Airlines associate’s job so hard that she was denied access to the flight. Fortunately, the entire situation after the Karen disrespects the worker was recorded and reposted to Reddit so you can judge for yourself.
The video appears to be taken by someone who just happened to also be at the same gate as the rude Karen. You can see the woman be wheeled up to the gate for entry and, after having her ticket scanned in, is immediately stopped by the associate behind the counter. It’s unclear of exactly what was said before the video started, but the woman had disrespected the Southewst Airlines employee and now was attempting to get on the wrong flight. The Southwest Airlines associate was right to be upset with the woman, giving her a piece of his mind to let her know that he would not tolerate her behavior.
In my opinion, what is even funnier are the reactions of the other airline passengers standing in line watching everything unfold. A few of them can’t help it as smiles escape their lips as they bear witness to this random airline worker denying a Karen who disrespects others the chance to fly to her destination.

Realistically, she really was close. It’s a rarity for a passenger to get this close the final security gate and nearly get on an airplane, only to be denied last second. Had she not done whatever it is that she had done, chances are that she would have been able to board with no problems. Of course, there might have been a few issues concerning the airline associate’s job, but I get the feeling that that wouldn’t have been any of her concern.
