Are you a fan of Katamari Damacy? Or did you miss it the first time around? Either way, you’ve got another chance to play this much-loved puzzle game. Bandai has announced, via a press release, that Katamari Damacy Reroll is now available in America.
The plot is thus; The King of All Cosmos knocks the stars out of the sky in a drunken stupor. Instead of dealing with the matter himself, however, he tasks his young son, The Prince, to go to Earth and collect enough material for him to recreate the stars and moon. The Prince is equipped with the titular ‘Katamari’, a magical ball whose adhesive nature enables anything smaller than it to stick to it and grow.
Abelina Villegas, Associate Brand Manager for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc., said the following regarding the rerelease
We are so excited to bring the wacky and zany adventure of Katamari Damacy REROLL to a whole new audience on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We think everyone could use a light-hearted out-of-this-world escape right about now, and we hope that Katamari Damacy REROLL helps restore a little twinkle in the hearts of all who play it.”

The gameplay has you roll around each stage, across houses, gardens, and towns. You do this in order to achieve certain goals within said stage. In most cases, it involves having to roll up as many objects as possible before the time limit runs out. There is also a local split-screen multiplayer mode that has you and friends compete to roll up the biggest Katamari ball.
The original Katamari Damacy was released in 2004 on the PlayStation 2. It was later ported to Windows and the Switch in 2018. This rereleased version is available for both PS4 and Xbox One.
