Kate Upton has been keeping her fitness game strong as she shows Instagram the innovative ways she’ll get a workout in. The 31-year-old model showed fans her sense of fun in November 2021, opting out of a glam gym pose and instead delivering a spandex-clad yoga stretch from a paddleboard.
Enjoying a day out on the water as she tested the limits of her body, Kate delighted her 6.6 million fans with her athletic display, one that’s earned her over 20,000 likes. Kate has since made headlines for her bombshell 2024 Sports Illustrated Swim return, one that didn’t come without a massive workout prep.
Kate Upton Gets Flexible On Instagram
Enjoying a scenic lake day as she balanced on a paddleboard, Kate went downward dog as she supported her body weight with one leg while lifting the other high up behind her.
Flaunting her fit figure in a dark pair of leggings and a matching tank top, Kate went for a low back design that highlighted her toned upper body, also showcasing her gym-honed arms as she attempted the challenging move.
Keeping barefoot and hiding her face as she lowered her head, Kate wore her light locks tied back in a long braid. In a caption, the wife to Justin Verlander wrote: “I hear the fear of face planting on a paddle board is suppose to make you fit… so I gave it a try.”
Innovative Take On Indoor Lunges
In 2018, Kate and husband Justin welcomed their daughter Genevieve. In March of last year, the model updated her Instagram with 2020 footage of herself delivering lunges while holding her infant daughter, with the video also including a 2023-filmed repeat of her delivering the exact same move.
Fans, who were impressed by the athletic display, also loved that the video showed little Genevieve growing up. A caption came jointly with trainer Ben Bruno, reading:
“I always preach progressive overload to my clients and urge them to gradually bump the weight up over time. I’d say @kateupton nailed it. Her daughter is growing quickly though, so this could get really tough in a few years.”
“She’s super cute and beautiful, congratulations Katy!” one fan replied. Ben was also behind the training regimen Kate underwent to get ready for her 2024 SI Swim return. He called the mom of one consistent, noting the “full-body” strength work Kate underwent up to four times a week.
The 2024 SI Swim 60th anniversary cover brought back a whole host of throwback faces, not limited to former bombshells Christie Brinkley, Brooks Nader, and Chrissy Teigen.
