Katy Perry Celebrates New Orleans Title Wearing Only Beads
In an Instagram post, Perry revealed that March 1st is Katy Perry Day in New Orleans. “HEAR YE, HEAR YE 🔔. It has been proclaimed that March 1st is officially Katy Perry Day in New Orleans from now to infinity,” she announced. To receive the honor in person, the Roar singer made a statement in a jaw-dropping bead dress. It comprised blue, white, purple, red, and clear crystals. She wore the patterned piece over a nude corset and fishnets, leaving little to the imagination. She styled her brunette hair into a center part with a high ponytail. Her face was glammed with purple shimmery eyeshadow and bright pink lipstick.
With the corset similar to Perry’s complexion, her outfit gave the illusion that she was naked underneath the bead dress. Soon enough, fans began asking questions.
“I love you, babe, but wtf are these outfits?” wondered a disappointed fan.
“Katy… are your breasts okay?” a second follower asked with concern.
“You used to be one of my favourite singers,” slammed a third fan.
However, not all fans were focused on Katy Perry’s look. Others couldn’t get their eyes off her pet, Nugget, who was included in the photo dump. The little furry one was covered in icing powder in the final slide. “Nugget celebrating your day,” gushed one fan.
Katy Perry Heading To Space In Historic Spring Flight
The controversial post comes a week after reports that Perry will embark on Blue Origin’s upcoming flight to space. She is part of an all-female crew comprising Gayle King, NASA engineer Aisha Bowe, research scientist Amanda Nguyen, film producer Kerianne Flynn, and Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos’s fiancée, Lauren Sanchez.
The flight marks the first time in 62 years that women have traveled to space without a man on board. The historic trip will take place this Spring, and Perry is more than thrilled. She took to social media to gush about the selection, glad she can be an example for her daughter, Daisy.
“I am motivated more than ever to be an example for my daughter that women should take up space,” she wrote. The exact date of the space flight remains unknown, but there is a lot of excitement around it.
