Katy Perry has fallen under fire on Instagram as her latest fashion display sparks pity. Attending a release party for her new 143 album last weekend, the 39-year-old singer kept it skimpy in a snakeskin coord and boots, showing plenty of skin as she turned heads for both her racy ensemble and her weight loss.
When users on Just Jared saw the photos, they immediately sent Katy the thumbs-down, with some of the most-liked comments deeming the pop star “desperate” and suggesting that her outfit was “embarrassing.” The backlash comes amid plenty Katy has already faced — long before her July-released “Woman’s World” single was deemed a flop, the star was already facing backlash for choosing controversial producer Dr. Luke to work on the record.
Katy Perry Turns Heads In Snakeskin Two-Piece
Looking club-ready in a teeny snakeskin-print top and miniskirt, Katy left little to the imagination as she flaunted her super-toned legs and slimmed-down waistline.
Drawing the eye to her abs as she continues to spark Ozempic rumors, the former American Idol judge went itty-bitty with her low-slung skirt showing her black briefs beneath, and those black, knee-high boots were making the whole thing even racier. Adding more effect, Katy also rocked matching elbow gloves in the same snakeskin fabric.
Displaying her curves as she showed off her tiny waist, Katy added in dark shades, wearing her glossy black locks down, plus plenty of makeup. In a caption, Just Jared wrote: “Katy Perry draped herself in snakeskin while attending a release party for her new album “143” in West Hollywood last night. She was joined by her adorable dog Nugget.”

Gaining the most likes was a fan who replied: “I’m sorry but she looks desperate.” Over 1,000 users agreed.

It does seem like hate for Katy Perry these days is almost universal as fans lashing out over her supposedly empowering “Woman’s World” track find anything they can to shade. That said, the mom of one has faced specific criticism over the objectification of women in her comeback music video, one seeing her scantily clad, covered in glitter, and holding a seemingly malfunctioning drill.
“She is trying too hard to be fashionable😢… And we already know that she takes ozempic” was yet another remark mentioning Katy’s weight.
