Kelly Clarkson doesn’t seem to mind opening up about her personal life and relationship status. Over the years, the singer has gotten candid about an array of topics such as weight loss, parenting, and her messy divorce from Brandon Blackstock. Now that she’s single and going through a huge change in her life, she’s ready to talk about that as well. In fact, the American Idol alum recently shared exactly how she feels about her current relationship status.
During her talk show, Clarkson confirmed that she hasn’t been dating since her divorce. During her conversation with Hoda Kotb, the singer admitted that she is loving life as a single woman. She even revealed that she loves not having a man in her life to worry about for the time being.
“I am really loving not having a man in my life,” she said, per OK! Magazine. “Like, it’s just too hard. There’s too much. It’s too much. There’s all the jobs. Plus the kids. Plus being present for the kids while you’re there. ‘Cause sometimes we get, people will still email you. And I’m like, ‘No, no, no, we’re home now,’” she added, revealing it can be “too much” for her at times.
Although Kelly Clarkson has been rumored to be looking for love again, it seems she’s shutting down that speculation on any relationship. The Voice coach was even previously linked to A-list actor Jason Momoa after he appeared on her talk show. However, it appears that she’s happy with her single status and has a full life with her children and multiple jobs.
Meanwhile, Kotb couldn’t help but praise Clarkson for going through a total life makeover, which has included moving to New York, losing weight, and overhauling her outlook on life altogether. The two women shared a sweet moment together. Of course, fans loved seeing the support Kotb had for Clarkson.
