However, considering her messy divorce from Brandon Blackstock, others totally understood where she was coming from.
While speaking with her guest, Common, Clarkson discussed her exes during an interview. The actor revealed that he’s friends with many of his exes and likes to be on good terms with them, per Life & Style. However, the American Idol alum had a very different opinion. When asked if she was friends with any of her exes, the singer simply said “No,” making the crowd laugh.
Kelly Clarkson Says She Can’t Be Friends With Her Exes
“I mean, here’s the thing. I’m not not friends … but I feel like, ‘cause I’m cool with … I only have a couple that I’m just like, ‘Hard pass.’ But a couple of them, you know, I don’t have many exes, but a couple of them are cool people. Nothing wrong with them. If we ran into each other, we’d be totally friendly. But that’s the difference,” she stated.
Kelly Clarkson went on to explain that things can simply get too awkward for her when it comes to her exes. So, instead, she decides to keep her distance. Meanwhile, The Voice coach has been making headlines for a possible spark between her and fan-favorite actor Jason Momoa.
After Momoa appeared on Clarkson’s talk show, fans couldn’t get over the duo’s chemistry. Of course, comments about the pair possibly dating and making a fun couple began to appear online. Although it doesn’t seem that the singer is ready to go public with any relationship news, fans hope she’ll eventually find her happy ending.
