Kelly Ripa likely had more than one fan considering her workout moves to be “impressive” earlier this year, and the word was used by the X user uploading screengrabs from one of her recent gym sessions.
Looking her usual, super-fit self, the 52-year-old showed off her varied moves as she was put through her paces during an indoor workout, one seeing her clad in stylish spandex look that perfectly flattered her petite frame. At 50+, Kelly is fitter than ever, with bulging biceps and rippling abs, but the gym-honed figure doesn’t come from her lounging around in bed.
Kelly Ripa Shows Off ‘Impressive’ Workout Game
Looking a little apprehensive in the top photo, Kelly had trainer Anna Kaiser placing her legs on a yoga mat as the duo worked on Kelly’s limbs.
The wife to Mark Consuelos showed off her toned legs and slim waist in blue leggings, pairing them with a matching sports bra, plus a loose-fitting, sleeveless gray tank that highlighted those sculpted arms. Rocking a practical ponytail as she went makeup-free, Kelly smiled a little, with other photos showing her hiking one leg up for a Pilates stretch while using a resistance band.
Told She’s A ‘Beast’ With ‘Impressive’ Moves
Also shared was a photo of the Live! host on a wooden floor and using small dumbbells, plus another resistance band. For fans of Kelly, the varied approach is likely of little surprise.
“@KellyRipa is a beast! Watched her workout today on @kellymarklive I knew she was in shape… but her workout? Impressive,” the fan wrote.
This wouldn’t be the first fitness display from Kelly on the daytime series she’s hosted since 2001. Last April, Kelly straddled husband and cohost Mark for a fun take on couples yoga. Laughing as she rocked cropped leggings and a matching black top, Kelly flaunted her fit frame and her sense of fun, posting the photo to her Instagram and writing: “Teamwork!!! It’s hard to tell where one begins and the other ends.”
Kelly has also opened up about her workout routine. “I like to take AKT — which is cardio-based dance classes — about four to five days a week between 3 and 5 p.m. And I like to do SoulCycle on the weekends. In the summer, I like to run in Central Park because I think it’s so gorgeous,” she told The Cut back in 2019.
Workouts took on a bit of a DIY home vibe during lockdown as Kelly pumped iron from her $27 million NYC townhouse, but she’s now back to in-person sessions with trusty trainer Anna.
