The fans were having a great time on Wednesday during Kelsea Ballerini’s Idaho performance when the unpleasant incident occurred. While the singer was performing her 2022 track If You Go Down, someone from the crowd threw an unknown object at her. As mentioned, the object hit Ballerini in the face, forcing her to pause the live show briefly. In clips shared on social media, the singer was seen rubbing her eyes and talking to her violinist. Then, she continued playing the acoustic guitar while turning to the back of the stage.
Unfortunately, the 29-year-old seemed greatly affected by the incident as she made a “stop” hand signal to the crowd. Then, Ballerini exited the stage, accompanied by some crew members. Since the videos of the incident went viral, social media users speculated that the object may have been a friendship bracelet. Nevertheless, fans are still livid about the incident, as it could have easily resulted in an even greater injury. They have called for the perpetrator’s arrest and asked other concertgoers to comport themselves at such events.

Shortly after videos of the Kelsea Ballerini facial injury incident went viral, a TikTok user posted an update. They shared a clip of the singer returning to the stage to address the bizarre moment. Ballerini began by telling the crowd she cared about their safety. She then urged fans to let people around them know if they ever felt unsafe. “If anyone’s pushing too much or you just have that gut feeling, just always flag it,” Ballerini continued. The singer ended by urging fans not to throw things, especially as little children were at the venue.
Meanwhile, a similar incident occurred nearly two weeks before Kelsea Ballerini’s Idaho performance. Singer Bebe Rexha was at the receiving end. While the star was performing on stage, a concertgoer threw a phone on stage, hitting Rexha in the face. The star suffered a bruise on her left eye, forcing her to exit the stage. Thankfully, the following day, Rexha shared that she was alright. Unlike Ballerini’s case, the perpetrator was identified, arrested, and charged with assault.
