Donald Trump hopes to make history at the upcoming 2025 Super Bowl. The president reportedly plans to attend the Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, where the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles will face off against each other.
If confirmed, Trump will be the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl. White House officials confirmed to CNN that DJT plans to be at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans rather than watching the game from Washington, D.C. The official guest list is still being prepared, but sources say House Speaker Mike Johnson is in talks to accompany the president. Before the game airs, Fox News anchor Bret Baier will conduct an interview with Trump in Florida.
Despite the attention he brings, Trump is no stranger to attending live sports events. In November, he attended the UFC fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic at the Madison Square Garden. However, his presence at the Super Bowl might be politically motivated. Last month, Trump celebrated when the Kansas City Chiefs qualified for the championship after defeating the Buffalo Bills. He wrote on his Truth Socials platform at the time:
“Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs. What a GREAT team, coach, quarterback, and virtually everything else, including those fantastic fans that voted for me (MAGA!) in record numbers.”
Fans Want Kendrick Lamar To Troll Donald Trump At Super Bowl

It is unclear what team Trump will support during the big game. However, his attendance definitely complicates logistics, especially regarding security. With A-listers attending the Sunday game, the Super Bowl 2025 will already have a significant security presence. The Department of Homeland Security already termed it a “level one” security event. If Trump does attend, more security resources will be expanded and might cost taxpayers more money.
In their anger, fans online have a proposition for Kendrick Lamar, the headliner of the Super Bowl LIX halftime show. They hope the rapper can repurpose his hit diss track, Not Like Us—targeted at Drake—to take a jab at Trump.
“Kendrick Lamar has an opportunity to do the funniest thing now,” one fan commented. “If he could modify Not Like Us and aim it at Trump, I would be so happy.”
“Certified president, certified pedophile,” another remark read.
“Everyone gonna point at him when Kendrick raps about why people with weird cases being around,” a third fan penned.
“I hope he is booed into oblivion… I hope, but I don’t think it will happen,” another fan added.
Although Kendrick Lamar doesn’t always discuss his political views, he has been a vocal critic of Donald Trump’s politics. In his 2017 song, The Heart Part 4, the 22-time Grammy winner rapped, “Donald Trump is a chump/ Know how we feel punk/ Tell ’em that God comin’/ And Russia need a replay button/ Y’all up to something.”
Lamar hasn’t said much of Trump since then. Maybe things might change at Super Bowl 2025.
