The smooth infamous Kenny G and his saxophone will appear on your local TV station this Super Bowl Sunday in a Busch Light Beer commercial. Rather than doing a national commercial like many other businesses during the big game like Pepsi and M&M’s, Kenny G’s SuperBowl commercial is a 30-second ad spot that will be aired on local TV stations showing Super Bowl Sunday 2022 in 41 different markets. Kenny G’s saxophone is sure to provide a new, smooth and crisp rendition of the jingle for his Busch Light commercial.
According to Variety,
The song tells of a beer that “is cold and it’s smooth, and it’s waiting for you,” “A beer that is full of smoothness?” he asks. “Who else but me should be the one who talks about it?”

There is a reason for companies like Busch Light Beer pushing a local Kenny G Super Bowl commercial rather than a nationwide one. Even though many people watch the Super Bowl for the commercials during the game as much as the football itself, the ad spots are a hefty price. Local ads have an upside as they usually offer up a more cost-effective way to spread the word about numerous products. Boston Beer is another company relying on local ads for this year’s Super Bowl Sunday. This local ad game isn’t new, as many different beer proprietors have done it in the past, such as Pabst Brewing Co., Heineken, and MolsonCoors, to name a few.
Super Bowl Sunday 2022 is premiering on February 13th on NBC. The two NFL teams fighting it out to be Super Bowl LVI champions are the Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals.
