A Kentucky woman always thought nothing of her face moles, choosing to regard them as normal features of her appearance or even beauty marks. It all changed when she became a mother, and one question from her young daughter was enough for her to want them removed.
The hilarious and maybe heartbreaking story was told by the mother herself, Holly Sherry, on TikTok. While standing in front of the camera, straight out of the shower, she started her story by saying that “no one is gonna humble you like your child that you literally grew and birthed, and brought into this world.”
The Kentucky mom explained that she was never insecure about her face moles, pointing at them. Removing them was never a thought in her mind, as these beauty marks didn’t bother her throughout her life.
Once Holly became a mother, one of her daughters inevitably started asking her about her face moles. The patient woman explained what they were and even let her daughter touch them. However, it all changed recently as Holly, her daughter, and the rest of her family got the flu.
During the family lockdown, the young child once again inquired about the face moles. Only this time, she chose to question Holly about them in the most savage way possible. As they were lying down, the girl asked, “Mommy, what is that? A nipple?“
A Humbled Mother, Reactions
The face of defeat and heartbreak on Holly’s face was inevitable. Her entire life crumbled before her eyes after hearing her daughter’s question. It was so savage that the Kentucky woman even started to investigate how to get her facial moles removed. To her, they now look exactly like her daughter said: nipples.
With thousands reacting to her short story, many users, most likely parents, showed compassion for Holly. How? By sharing their similar nightmare-like child stories.
One user amusingly said, “My son saw the movie poster for Norbit and said, ‘Look mom, you and Dad.’” Another one commented, “Mine drew forehead lines on my face on her pic she drew of us!” A third netizen added, “The middle child syndrome has to be studied.”
Children and their no-filter attitude can sometimes leave parents shocked and speechless, as Holly clearly explained. The good thing is that they always mean well, so perhaps having cosmetic procedures done on one’s face because of them is not the way to go.
