Kesha continues to publicly disassociate from Diddy in the wake of his downfall. After months of facing sexual assault and sex trafficking allegations, the law finally caught up with the rapper. On Monday, he was arrested on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, and Kesha is celebrating the justice.
In a recent post, the pop singer released a new version of her hit song, TikTok, in which she paid tribute to the disgraced rapper. The lyrics, which initially read, “Wake up in the mornin’ feeling like P. Diddy,” was changed to “Wake up in the mornin’ like F**k P. Diddy.” Kesha proudly embodied the words, flipping the camera and rolling her eyes at the mention of the music mogul’s name. She donned a white tank top with her blonde hair styled in loose curls. This is not the first time Kesha has dissed Diddy with her hit anthem.
Back in November, when Cassie first brought forth her damning allegations against the artist, Kesha immediately switched camps. While performing at the Los Angeles Hollywood Palladium during her tour, the Praying singer omitted Diddy’s name from the lyrics. “Wake up in the morning feelin’ just like me,” she sang.
Fans Laud Kesha’s Lyric Change: ‘I Like This Version Better’
Kesha’s TikTok immediately made waves on the Internet, with fans praising her for doing the right thing. “This just is PERFECT and correct,” gushed one fan while another wrote, “The way it sounds better, too?!?! When is it released?” A third comment read, “I like this version better,” while another user added:
“Notice how Kesha doesn’t support sexual abusers? Katy can’t relate.”
A concerned fan said, “My daughter asked me, ‘I wonder how Kesha’s doing right now,’ when she heard the news about P. Diddy, lol.” It is no surprise that Kesha is speaking out against Diddy, given her history with Dr Luke. The pair engaged in a decade-long legal battle after she accused him of sexual assault and battery, amongst other damaging allegations.
