Khloe Kardashian is one busy woman. In addition to running her clothing line, Good American, she’s also the single mother of two children, True and Tatum. Kardashian also has several other responsibilities, such as filming her family’s reality TV series for Hulu. However, her career has been impacted by a health issue that she’s been dealing with for years. Sadly, the youngest Kardashian sister admits that her debilitating migraines have caused her a lot of stress in the past.
Earlier this month, Kardashian won the People’s Choice Award for Reality TV Star of the Year. Her older sister, Kim Kardashian, was also nominated, as was Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards and Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause. Sadly, the mother-of-two wasn’t in attendance to accept the award. She later revealed that she had a very good reason for missing out on the event. Unfortunately, her health issue was to blame for her absence.
Khloe Kardashian Says Her Migraines Kept Her From People’s Choice Awards
“I suffer from really extreme migraines. There was not much else that could have kept me away from being there last night,” Kardashian confessed, per The Mirror.
In 2020, Khloe Kardashian opened up about her problems with migraines. The reality star remembered dealing with painful headaches from a young age and the stigma that surrounded the ailment.
“I vividly remember how I felt, but mainly I remember how everyone told me that I wasn’t feeling what I felt. People would always say, ‘Oh, it’s just a headache,'” she told Prevention. “That’s the stigma with migraines, that it’s just a headache. And being 12 years old, and at that time no one in my family experienced migraines, I was embarrassed to say when I was suffering from one.”
Kardashian went on to reveal that the early days of her migraines were “scary.” She also confessed that she would be confined to bed due to the pain she felt. She also encouraged her fans to get help if they suffer from the same issues.
