Khloe Kardashian made a shocking revelation on Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians and it is safe to say a Tristan Thompson proposal was in view. It’s been a rollercoaster of bombshell in the Tristan and Khloe relationship saga and she is letting fans in on it all.
The TV star divulged that she turned down Tristan Thompson’s secret proposal which was kept secret. In the episode, Khloe was having a chat with her sister, Kim Kardashian. Khloe revealed that her ex, Tristan Thompson had proposed to her a year ago, and she rejected him. The star noted that she also didn’t tell her family about that development.
Apparently, Thompson had confided in Kim and informed her that he was going to propose to Khloe on Valentine’s day, which was in 2021. In a confessional, Kim explained that she had asked Thompson about the proposal and he told her he had done it. She expressed her shock because Khloe didn’t tell her or any of their family members about it.
Why Did Khloe Kardashian Turn Down Tristan’s Secret Proposal?
The 38-year-old reality star, explained to her sister, Kim, the reason she didn’t accept 31-year-old Thompson’s proposal. Khloe wanted to be sure of the relationship before she got engaged. Khloe had told Thompson that she was “not comfortable accepting this right now because I’m not excited to tell my family.” She continued by saying that the statement might have hurt him, but she was telling the truth, so as not to give him false hope.
In a confessional, Khloe had explained how Thompson’s scandal had a lot of negative impact on her “mental well-being.” She continued by explaining how hard it was to move on from the relationship as she already built some of her life around him.
While she was having a chat with Kim, she explained how hard it was to deal with the betrayal. She explained how they were at the “best place” in their relationship and he still cheated, and wondered what he did when they were at their “worst.”
Kim had tried to encourage her sister, Khloe as she told her that she doesn’t “deserve this and that’s what sucks, because you’re the best person. Seriously…”
When Did Khloe Break Up With Tristan Thompson?
Per People, the duo had started dating in 2016. They welcomed their first child together, True Thompson in 2018. In June 2021, the couple split up but reunited again. After it was confirmed that Thompson’s paternity scandal was true, Khloe finally called the relationship off in January 2022.
Khloe and Thompson just had their second child through surrogacy in August. They had implanted the embryos a while before the scandal news came out. After some contemplation, the media personality has allowed the NBA star a chance to see their newborn son.
