Kid Rock fans are giving the rocker a hard time after the Born Free singer made a spectacle of himself at the Bon Jovi Nashville bar on Saturday. The singer lived up to the Kid in his name and threw a tantrum after the crowd failed to follow his instructions during a guest performance with Bon Jovi keyboard player David Bryan.
Bryan was performing at the band’s JBJ Nashville bar in celebration of his 63rd birthday when he was joined on stage by Kid Rock. Robert Ritchie, Rock’s real name, appeared intoxicated when he joined Bryan and his backup singers on stage to perform Creedence Clearwater Revial’s hit song Proud Mary.

The audience welcomed Rock with applause when he made his way to the stage. However, the welcoming reception did not last long. According to a TikTok video posted by a fan, just two minutes into the performance, Rock’s entire mood changed, and things only went downhill.
Kid Rock asked Bon Jovi’s David Bryan and the house band to stop playing and made a sloppy attempt to encourage the audience to clap along to the performance. While bumbling his way through the lyrics, Rock then began trying to clap his hands to the beat, missing the first couple of tries before throwing out the f-bomb and seemingly pushing the female singer away.

Clearly, the female house singer was quickly getting frustrated with Kid Rock’s shoddy performance. However, after he stopped the music, she was eager to step away from the rocker.
Bon Jovi’s David Bryan looked shocked by Rock’s actions and at a loss for words as the singer began to rant at the crowd, saying, “F— them. F— them. Hey, hey, stop,” he said, according to the video. “If you ain’t gonna clap, we ain’t gonna sing. That’s how it’s gonna go.”
The fans clapped along briefly while Kid Rock resumed his performance. However, stopped just seconds into it again, bellowing at the audience, “You know what f— y’all. You ain’t gonna clap, I’m gone,” he said before abruptly leaving the stage.
By this time, David Bryan looked embarrassed and confused. He appeared to wave Kid Rock off the stage, and the singer stormed off. The JBJ Nashville fans did not take Kid Rock’s rude behavior well. They immediately began blasting the singer on social media.
“I’m outta here,” and that’s when the audience started cheering,” quips one fan.
“He is so wasted. It is embarrassing,” adds another. “He did that crowd a favor leaving,” one more adds.
Despite the awkward Kid Rock crash, David Bryan thanked the crowd and the band for helping to celebrate his birthday. So far, neither Kid Rock nor his reps have commented on Rock’s recent behavior.
