Saturday Night Live returned in October for its 47th season. So far, the new season has featured several first-time hosts, including Kim Kardashian, Rami Malek, Owen Wilson, and former cast member Jason Sudeikis. Now, going into November, there is another round of first-timers who will host SNL for the first time. Announced via SNL’s Twitter today, actors Kieran Culkin, Jonathan Majors, and Simu Liu will host SNL this November.
On November 6, Kieran Culkin will host SNL with Ed Sheeran joining him as the musical guest. A week later, on November 13, Jonathan Majors will take the reins as SNL’s host with Taylor Swift as the musical guest. To finish out November’s airings of SNL, Simu Liu will step up as the host on November 20 with Saweetie as the musical guest.
Despite being the younger brother of Macaulay Culkin, Kieran Culkin has had a fantastic acting career of his own. He held small roles in movies like She’s All That, The Cider House Rules, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Lately, Kieran Culkin has starred as Roman Roy in HBO’s hit series, Succession.
Although he has not been acting for very long, the talented Jonathan Majors has already had an impressive career. Majors has held prominent roles in movies like The Last Black Man in San Francisco and Da 5 Bloods and led the HBO series Lovecraft Country. Like Simu Liu, he is no stranger to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Majors recently appeared as Kang the Conquerer in Disney+’s Loki, and he is set to reprise the role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Arguably the biggest star of the bunch, Simu Liu has quickly become a household name thanks to the success of Marvel’s latest solo superhero film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. However, Liu has had a long history of playing major and minor roles on TV in shows like Blood and Water and Kim’s Convenience.
All three actors will undoubtedly bring different dynamics to Saturday Night Live throughout November. Be sure to catch them as they host SNL on Saturday nights this month on NBC!
