Kim Kardashian’s recent obsession with the Lakers game has made her subject to dating rumors. However, sources close to the TV personality have cleared the air for good, confirming her continued presence on the front rows of the Los Angeles Lakers games has nothing to do with romance.
Notably, Kim’s latest appearance was at the playoffs between the Lakers and Warriors this week. The beauty mogul attended games 3 and 4 of the playoffs, alongside her friend Sarah Staudinger. This caused quite a stir, as several fans wondered if she attended the games to cheer on a love interest. This doesn’t seem to be the case.
Why Kim Kardashian Attends the Lakers Games
According to TMZ, Kim Kardashian’s sources revealed she was “absolutely not” dating anyone from the Lakers or Warriors team. Contrariwise, her presence during the playoffs was simply a show of support for her hometown team, the Lakers while also getting the chance to hang out with her friend Sarah. There’s also the factor of Tristan Thompson joining the Lakers after signing with them late-season last year. Despite Tristan’s history with Kim’s sister, Khloé Kardashian, the SKIMS CEO maintain a good rapport with him, and shares some of his post on social media.
The outlet also revealed that Sarah’s husband, Ari Emanuel, had claims to the courtside seats. Hence, it would be a walk in the park to secure the best seats for the two female sports enthusiasts. Kim’s reasons for attending the games are certainly justifiable and ultimately discredit widely-held speculations she secretly had a fling with a Lakers player, who most suspect to be 24-year-old Lonnie Walker.
In particular, talks of her secret relationship with 24-year-old LA Lakers Lonnie have made the rounds on social media. In fact, many fans tried spotting clues from Kim’s gestures during the playoffs, while others outrightly debunked the claims, noting that Lonnie already had a girlfriend.
Nonetheless, Kim Kardashians’ decision to attend the Lakers games paid off for the team, and The Kardashian star in some way. Not only did she become the lucky charm the team needed to secure a win of 2-0 against the Warriors, Kim finally snagged her chance to disprove the Kardashian curse theorem for good.
