According to India Times, Kim Kardashian posted on her Instagram story a photo of Luka Doncic in a Lakers jersey. Alongside the photo was a caption in which Kardashian asked when the young man would make his Lakers debut. Kim followed up by saying, “I want to meet him.” However, basketball fans from around the globe had to chime in and try to put an end to this meeting before it ever occurs. One social media user on X even said, “On behalf of literally everyone, no.” The reasoning behind the mass panic would be nothing other than the fabled Kardashian curse.

Despite how one looks at this situation, it may not be the best time for Luka to get caught up in all this Hollywood drama.
The Kardashian curse can be explained as an internet theory stating that any athlete or team will fail exponentially when involved with Kim or her family. A few names that jump out are Lamar Odom, Tristan Thompson, and even James Harden. All three of these athletes experienced a huge negative shift in their careers while being romantically involved with Kardashian women. For Tristan Thompson and James Harden, it was Khloe Kardashian. As for Lamar Odom, it was Kim Kardashian. While some athletes are able to bounce back after the curse is “lifted,” some are never the same again. It seems fans are worried for Luka Doncic’s career.
