Kim Kardashian and her company, SKIMS, made a huge announcement this week. The reality star‘s shapewear brand revealed a major collaboration with Nike. However, she wasn’t the only member of her famous family with work to do. Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, also took to social media to promote a brand deal. However, Kim apparently wasn’t thrilled about Kris’ decision to post on the same day she announced her Nike collab.
On Tuesday, after news of Kim Kardashian’s partnership with Nike was announced, Kris Jenner shared a post of herself promoting the brand Alo on her Instagram account. In the post, Jenner is seen sitting on her winding staircase sporting a pair of white crew socks from the brand. She also rocked a matching hoodie and sweat set along with bright, white sneakers.
Although she was dressed in casual wear, the “momager” had her hair perfectly coiffed and her makeup done. She sported pink blush and matching lipstick. Her smoky eyeshadow and dark lashes were also on full display.

“Did you really have to post this on the same day as my NikeSKIMS announcement?!?!?!” Kim commented on the IG post.
While Kardashian was seemingly joking as she slammed Jenner for the brand promotion, fans on social media seemed amused by the comment. However, not everyone was thrilled with the duo sparing on Instagram to drum up publicity.
“I refuse to buy anything they make money off of,” one person wrote via Reddit.
“This is 100% a calculated move to [get] attention,” another wrote.
“Kim doesn’t like someone stealing her thunder,” a third comment read.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian’s fans are very excited about her Nike collaboration. The collab will drop this spring and include apparel, shoes, and other accessories, per The Daily Mail. While Kris Jenner’s post likely wasn’t meant to take anything away from her daughter’s big announcement, the same can’t be said for Kanye West. The rapper made a post slamming Nike just after his ex-wife‘s collab was announced.
Of course, this isn’t Kardashian’s only work in progress. She’s recently been filming a new Ryan Murphy television show. Kim also made a cameo in a sketch during Saturday Night Live‘s 50th anniversary celebration over the weekend.
Despite any drama that might have accompanied Kim Kardashian’s Nike announcement, it seems that the reality star is over the moon about the collaboration. Fans are already interested in the products. However, only time will tell if it will be a lucrative deal for the billionaire going forward.
