Kinda Funny Co-Founder Tim Gettys officially announced Kinda Funny Live 3 around noon earlier this week on his Twitter account. The Pure One posted a picture revealing that the event will be returning to the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco for the third year in a row.

For the less informed, Kinda Funny is a youtube entertainment and production company created by and starring Greg Miller, Colin Moriarty, Nick Scarpino, and Tim Gettys. The four entrepreneurs left their jobs – with prominent on screen and off screen roles – as producers, editors, and entertainers at IGN to found the company back in 2015.

After finding support through crowdfunding through Patreon  – as their rise coincided with the now popular platform – the (prominently) youtube entertainment company hosted its first live entertainment special known as Kinda Funny Live. Filled with skits, video games, and discussion, the team found success during their first year doing a live performance in front of their Best Friends (the name given to their fans).

The following year the group joined Roosterteeth – and consequently their owners Fullscreen – expanding Kinda Funny’s reach even more, thus giving the madmen even further ability to perform events like Kinda Funny Live.

The sequel managed to surpass expectations, as the seconds performances and production value were increased tenfold. While expectations will be high for the next iteration, the Kinda Funny crew certainly doesn’t seem to be running out of ideas, especially if their performances at RTX Sydney are any indication.

Both Kinda Funny Live 1 and Kinda Funny Live 2 are available on the company’s youtube page for free but clear your schedule, as each broadcast runs over about 2 hours and 30 minutes each. Kinda Funny Live 3 takes place on June 3, 2017, with tickets going on sale March 1st, 2017, so if you’re in the area be sure to purchase them soon, as they will likely sell out quick.
