Warhorse Studios, the developer of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, has just announced that the release date of the game is being delayed past 2024. Originally planned for release sometime around the end of this year, the team has decided to push back the release date to February 11, 2025, to make sure the game is in the state it needs to be on release. February 11 also happens to be the anniversary week of the first Kingdom Come Deliverance.

This comes soon after a leak that suggested that the release date of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was going to slide into next year. Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, the PR manager of Warhorse Studios, released a video in which he explained the delay, as well as some other details to keep fans engaged until the game’s release.

A message from Warhorse Studios! The official release date for #KCD2 is 11 February 2025.
It's a long wait, but we have a lot to show you between now and release, starting with:

Tobias also announced that we’ll be seeing a lot more of the game during the Gamescom 2024 Showcase and confirmed an extended gameplay trailer that is almost 25 minutes long with little to no cuts. That is when preorders for the game go live as well, and people can get the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.

Fans who are present at the Gamescom 2024 show floor will be able to play the game during the entire event from August 21 to 25. Along with these reveals, the team also confirmed the Collector’s Edition of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, but did not reveal what is inside the box yet. We’re likely to find out more details on the different preorder editions once the preorders go live on August 21. Until then, we’ll just have to wait.

The next gameplay trailer goes like on Gamescom Opening Night Live and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 after the delay comes out on February 11, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
