Konami reveals that eFootball 2023 2.5.0 will be released on April 13th, 2023. This update sees the beginning of the new season “Develop. Design. Define”. Besides, the studio did not share anything about the upcoming version, so we do not know much about what fans should wait for. Gameplay Updates
The gameplay team closely monitors the direct feedback we receive, as well as the social media posts of our esteemed users on a daily basis. We then compare the feedback against the statistical data we obtain from online matches in an attempt to improve the overall balance of the game.

Further Dribbling Maneuverability Enhancements – Konami Reveals the eFootball 2023 2.5.0 Update’s Release Date
This update sees some vast enhancements in the maneuverability of dribbling. We have reviewed different animations as well as the ball touch speed of players. The next time you flick that L stick, you will realize that you can now perform a more responsive turn in the desired direction.
Be it carrying the ball into space by exploiting the gaps in the opposition’s defense or dodging an oncoming opponent who comes charging in to apply pressure with agile dribbling displays, these enhancements help widen the range of dribbling plays overall.
Response Enhancements on Second Touch Plays
We have also made adjustments to the players’ second touches. This allows for more responsive dribbling, passing, and shooting and an easier transition toward your next move in general.
In scenarios where the opposition quickly comes for a press as you receive an oncoming pass, a one-touch pass would have been the only viable option. But with these adjustments, you are now afforded more options; perhaps even try breaking through the opposition with some swift dribbling displays! The mind games between attack and defense have just become all the more interesting.
As reported at the time of the v2.0.0 update, the “Ball Control” stat will affect players’ maneuverability on second touches. This means that players with higher “Ball Control” stats will be able to transition into the next play in a more agile manner. Putting players with high Ball Control stats around the penalty box and in areas of high defensive pressure may just be the piece of player application you need to tip the balance.
Enhanced Effect of Acrobatic Finishing
Taking the current shot-on-target rate and goal-scoring rate into account, we have decided to increase the shot accuracy of the Player Skill “Acrobatic Finishing”. In addition, the activation conditions have also been reviewed and adjusted to ensure that the Player’s Skill will be activated in appropriate scenarios.
If you ever end up on the receiving end of a wild pass, try unleashing a shot using players who possess the Player Skill “Acrobatic Finishing”, and you may very well find the net.
