Kyle Capener had one more lifeline up his sleeves, winning over an unexpected ally as Terrance Higgins canvasses to reverse his seemingly inevitable eviction.
Following his heartbreaking betrayal of The Leftovers weeks back, it appeared the Big Brother houseguest Kyle had little chance of staying in the game for so long. However, he flipped the switch when he figured forging new alliances like the After Party may be a way out for him with a new ally.
That, too, returned to haunt him following revelations that he suggested the creation of an all-white alliance. Last week, Michael Bruner and Brittany Hoopes outed the Utah native’s racially-biased plans to a few houseguests, including Matt Turner, admitting they stemmed from his fears that the people of color in the house were working together.
This revelation shocked the other houseguests, including Kyle’s TV flame Alyssa. Following that, Kyle’s chances of staying in the house became even slimmer. Just before he got kicked out the door, Kyle Capener seemed to turn the tables once again, securing him an unexpected ally.
Kyle Capener Won Over His Unexpected Ally With A Remorseful Apology
On Tuesday’s episode, Kyle apologized to his fellow houseguests, admitting his motivations stemmed from “race.” He also promised to work on himself and his perspective. His attempt to set things right with the houseguests proved to be a great idea, as he triggered the sympathy of Terrance Higgins.
After that, the former Dyre Fest Head of Household began actively campaigning to keep Kyle in the house over Taylor Hale. Terrance noted that the houseguest’s supposed racial prejudice was rooted in his desire to live a sheltered life and nothing else, which was understandable.
Going further, the unexpected ally gave Kyle Capener his words that he would support him whenever he chose to have conversations with other houseguests. Meanwhile, Terrance proceeded to put his new campaign in motion, convincing Monte to pick Kyle in favor of Taylor.
Does Kyle Stand A Chance?
Having secured votes from Terrance and Alyssa, the Big Brother 24 contestant would need one more ally to keep him in the house. Monte did not seem keen on the idea of saving Kyle and proceeded to unveil Terrance’s intentions to Taylor. This leaves the 47-year-old needing Michael and Britany’s loyalty to secure Kyle’s place in the house this week.
Interestingly, the chances of Michael and Brittany turning on Taylor is very unlikely, as the two houseguests orchestrated Kyle’s blindsiding to begin with. But then, given the numerous twists and turns witnessed on the show as it fast draws to an end, one could expect anything!
