Ok world, the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers need your help! LA Comic Con saw plenty of stars this year, and one of them was David Yost. The Blue Ranger, along with co-star and personal friend Jason David Frank, held a panel for the series earlier today. There, they discussed the glory years as well as the current uptick thanks to their Netflix presence. With the recent new Power Rangers projects, it’s never been a better time to be a fan. Something that came from the panel was the rumbling of a Power Rangers reunion series, written entirely by Yost himself!
What Could This Power Rangers Reunion Be Like?
After the initial freakout from the crowd, David Yost went into some details on the Power Rangers reunion series. He has been writing it over the last year or so, and dubbed it “Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Quantum Continuum.” He hopes it will be an eight-episode series, with the original cast returning to fight new evils. He described it best as a mixture of Riverdale, Star Trek, and Power Rangers. However, the idea hasn’t been picked up by Hasbro yet. Talks are underway, but nothing is signed or set in stone. He hopes to garner support from fans and get it trending online to make sure Hasbro notices it. With the help of generations of fans, Yost believes we can get our reunion series soon.
Career Sharing Abound!
Beyond the details of the new script from David Yost, we also received some info on the cast experience at LA Comic-Con. They each supported each other with different acting techniques. Jason David Frank also brought a lot of energy and commitment to the martial arts factor of the show. Over time, these bonds have hardened into life-long friendships. Jason took to further martial arts work from there and even worked closely with Chuck Norris. He’s recently been developing a new project of his own. The Legend of the White Dragon will have a trailer release this Thursday at noon. The Power Rangers, and their fans, are forever.
