Viral footage of a man being violently attacked by a group of teenagers on bikes in Los Angeles is circulating across social media right now. The harrowing incident occurred in broad daylight on Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Carrillo Drive and San Vicente in the Carthay neighborhood. An Uber driver who was in their vehicle caught the brutal assault on camera. Meanwhile, another witness, Dimitri Kermani, shared said clip to their IG account and briefly described what they saw.

The brief clip doesn’t show the buildup before the assault, but opens in the midst of the group of teenagers viciously kicking and punching the man on the ground. You can hear the witness recording the footage utter under their breath, “Wow. Oh my god. Oh my god.” About halfway into the clip, we see a few assailants getting back on their bikes, as they all start to flee the scene.
Accompanying Kermani’s IG post is a brief explanation of what transpired. “Was in a Lyft coming home today when we saw a guy get jumped by a group of teenagers on bicycles.” Kermani wrote. “Fortunately my driver was ex military so we jumped out of the car and started running to help. We could have easily been jumped ourselves. Fortunately the thugs got back on their bikes after leaving the victim with head trauma and multiple lacerations to the face.”
Continuing on, he explained: “The victim could have died if his injuries were more severe. The level of trauma he and his family are now going through is heartbreaking. I will say I am grateful for the 6 people who stayed to help which included a Navy nurse who stayed with the victim. Note that this video was taken by another witness who was an uber driver who had to leave and provided me the video to give to law enforcement.“
According to a source close to TMZ, the attack occurred after a group of juvenile cyclists got into a heated argument with a motorist and it quickly escalated into a violent altercation. In addition, KTLA has reported that a man spotted the teens vandalising cars along San Vicente before getting out of his car and confronting them, which likely led to the assault in the video.
With the shocking footage continuing to snowball across the internet, netizens chimed in to air their thoughts and reactions to the disturbing incident. One IG user wrote, “20 against 1 is the most P**Y thing ever“, while another called for swift justice penning, “Do your thing internet and get these guys arrested“.
As of yet, police are still investigating the incident and have not made any arrests. The man who was attacked, however, sustained “minor injuries” and reported that his car was vandalised by the youths to the police.
