Lab Zero Games has announced their next adventure, Indivisible.

According to the trailer, Indivisible will be an action RPG set in a new world. The Skullgirls facebook page describes it as being “Metroidvania” exploration meets Valkyrie Chronicles combat. Music will be done by none other than Hiroki Kikuta, who composed for Secret of Mana, among other games. Art direction will be done by the same team as was on Skullgirls, it appears, with Alex Ahad taking up the lead again.

Lab Zero Games is best known for their incredibly successful Skullgirls, now Skullgirls Encore. A very fast-paced fighting game in the style of Marvel vs Capcom, where a team of characters can tag out on the fly and even combine super meter attacks, Skullgirls had been successfully and overwhelmingly crowdfunded for extra characters with all the fixin’s. Instead of the original 9, we now have 14 with one that was an April Fool’s joke character and the last still on her way.

Beowulf, the latest addition to the roster, is a wrestler in the style of Hulk Hogan, but with a mythological twist.

Recently, Skullgirls 2nd Encore was officially announced for PlayStation 4, Vita and Steam. Updates to the game include full voice acting in the story mode, challenge mode, trials, survival mode, a full trophy set based on these updates and player feedback, and cross play support between Sony’s home and handheld consoles.

An Indiegogo campaign will be started for Indivisible in the fall, and a very early build of the game will also be available to demo around the same time.
