Lady Gaga was showing some serious dedication as she was photographed working up a sweat outside her Miami home in 2020, but users online chose to body-shame her. Rocking a colorful gym look with plenty of hot pinks, the 38-year-old gave a nod to Barbiecore long before it was a trend, going loud in her bright pink leggings as she also rocked a skimpy black crop top.
Ditching the gym equipment for an outdoor workout as she was seen doing crunches and using a jump rope, Gaga got her heart rate up in the East Coast sunshine, with the photos quickly making The Daily Mail’s headlines. Here, users shamed the Chromatica singer, alleging that she was chubby, with one fan gaining likes for saying that Gaga had a “belly.”
Lady Gaga Shows Off Workout Style Outside Miami Home
Seen with her trainer as she let a professional guide her, Gaga wowed in a high-waisted pair of leggings teamed with an itty-bitty crop top.
Showing off her curves, but also highlighting her defined arm muscles and abs, the pop queen pumped iron as she used dumbbells to work her upper body, with her trainer seemingly also in the mood to mix it up with some cardio.
Flashing hints of a white bra beneath her crop top, Gaga injected plenty more pink from her dyed hair, also going makeup-free as she put her comfort first. At the time of the photos, the singer had just gone public with then-boyfriend and now-fiance, Michael Polansky.
Body-Shamed And Told She Has A ‘Belly’
When a user challenged The Daily Mail saying that Gaga’s abs were “taut,” they gained over 50 likes for saying: “That is not taut!!! She has a belly.”
“She has a horrible body shape. She looks so confused,” another said. Some fans even speculated that the A Star is Born actress might be expecting, with over 40 fans agreeing with a comment reading: “She looks like a lady with a great body who is pregnant. Best wishes if true.”
Gaga also had many fans saying that she looks nicer with makeup. The singer, who has suffered from an eating disorder in the past, faced pregnancy speculation earlier this year. When attending her sister’s wedding in June, the blonde showed a slightly rounder stomach, quickly leading to the internet thinking that she was pregnant.
Gaga shut the whole thing down, though. In an online clap-back, she wrote: “Not pregnant – just down bad cryin at the gym.”
Also known to have been victims of body-shaming are celebrities including singers Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, plus actress Jessica Simpson.
