Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom surprised fans when they got married in 2009 just one month after meeting each other. The couple’s marriage was full of ups and downs, which included their own reality TV spin-off series and dealing with the former NBA star’s infidelity and substance abuse. After just four years of marriage, the couple split. However, Odom never forget about his ex-wife, and she still holds a very special place in his heart.
Recently, Lamar Odom sat down for an interview with Richard Taite on the We’re Out of Time podcast. During the appearance, he opened up about some very personal issues, including the love he still has for his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian. The former LA Laker admitted that he and Khloe aren’t often in contact. However, he knows that he can reach out to her and that she’ll respond to him.
“I don’t speak to her much. She still cares about me. But I don’t speak to her. I can text her and she’ll reply,” he said.
Odom’s willingness to speak about his feelings for Kardashian is nothing new. He’s often been candid about wanting Khloe back in his life and the love he still has for her. Recently, the athlete may have taken that love to a whole new level when he announced that he had commissioned a life-sized adult doll to be created in her likeness.
Lamar Odom Isn’t in Contact with Khloe Kardashian
Lamar revealed on the podcast that he knows the doll is “sick.” However, he brushed off the negativity by claiming that everyone is weird in their own way.
“They’re going to make it look like her,” he said of the doll. “It’s sick, but I think we’re all a little off, a little weird.”
Previously it was reported that Odom was going to use the doll to help him get through some of the issues that he still has about the way his relationship with Kardashian ended. Although fans have spoken out about their disapproval of his methods, his manager says that the adult doll will help him “make peace” with the part of his life that he feels was left unresolved following his split from Khloe.
“Gross. It’s nasty enough for him to do that in the first place. But it’s actually scary that he’s open about it. Stalker obsessive behavior,” one person wrote on Reddit.
“That is vile,” another agreed.
“That’s disturbing,” a third comment read.
It’s no secret that Lamar Odom believes he lost a treasure when he and Khloe Kardashian finally finalized their divorce in 2016. In the past, he admitted that Khloe left a lasting impact on his life. He also claimed that her family was very important to him, especially her brother, Rob Kardashian. “I miss her and I wish her and her kids the best,” he stated, per E! News.
Since their split, Khloe Kardashian moved on to date NBA player Tristan Thompson. The couple welcomed two children together, True and Tatum. However, their romance was full of drama due to the basketball player’s multiple cheating scandals. The reality star is currently single. She has yet to comment publicly about Lamar Odom’s statements or doll purchase.
