You’ll find no shortage of streamers and influencers doing outrageous and dangerous stunts for fame online– sometimes unintentionally. One such incident happened recently, and with a rather popular one, namely Rayasianboy from Georgia. The young IRL streamer and influencer was sadly caught driving and revving a sports car on city streets while using his phone and not wearing a seatbelt, something even his viewers pointed out.
20-year-old Chen-Ruei “Ray” Hsu, aka Rayasianboy or simply Ray, is the Twitch streamer in question, and he recently streamed while driving a tricked-out car, complete with a nitrous tank in the back seat. In the middle of the stream, however, Ray noticed that some viewers pointed out traffic violations, especially since he lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Here’s a reupload of the clip:
In the video, Ray is seen wearing a Santa hat as he revs up his sports car and engages with his 2800+ Twitch viewers on the phone. Ray also wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, and even stated in the stream that, “My seatbelt’s broken, bro!” when his viewers kept asking where his seatbelt was or why he wasn’t wearing any. Others were warning him to stay “focused on the road” and stop reading the chats.
In the original 4-hour stream, Ray even got into a bit of a drama with some of his chat members and viewers, as some of them have taken to calling him a “bad driver.” Ray, on the other hand, continued to argue with them, even with viewers who were only concerned that he might get banned for violating a traffic law.
People online blame Twitch
For the record, Ray lives with another hugely popular streamer and influencer, notably Kai Cenat, in their 10-million-dollar content house in Atlanta. Hence, some of Ray’s critics outside of Twitch believe that Ray will not get the proper sanction or even ban from the Twitch platform. “Twitch encourages that,” points out a commenter, with another replying, “on top of that, he’s Kai’s friend so nothing is gonna happen and even if it does, kai will bail him out like he did with Rakai.”
Turns out it’s not the first time Ray got into trouble with the law. In June 2024, Ray, along with streamer Fanum, was confronted by the NYPD for riding an overloaded Lamborghini in a Dominican Day Parade in New York. This led the NYPD to seize Fanum’s luxury car and arrest its driver.
So far, the Georgia authorities haven’t taken action regarding Ray’s most recent traffic violation, though to be fair, the violation was only recorded and uploaded several hours ago. Regardless, some Twitch cynics believe that the platform will not do anything about this law-breaking incident, “It’s allowed on twitch these days. We had a post about running stop sign while people wanted to cross the road. And absolutely nothing happened.”
