Leaks Claim Days Gone Developer’s New Game Is Live-Service

Bend Studio, Days Gone‘s developer, is reportedly working on a military live-service game based on the popular open-world zombie shooter title. This rumor comes from a leak that shows a portfolio of a UI designer who worked at the company until this March. Not much is known about this upcoming game, but it is believed to have been in pre-production in 2019.

According to MP1st, the unnamed UI designer has worked on the unannounced Bend Studio project, which appears to be a third-person shooter. While there is an image that uses Days Gone art as a placeholder, this upcoming game is not a sequel to this franchise.

The folder also contains a video from a Google Drive file uploaded in 2023. MP1st claims that the other leaked images may come from the same time or even in 2022. Most images feature common mechanics in a game, such as guns, crafting, an EXP system, and UI elements. However, there is also an image and a video that show the test stages.

The upcoming Bend Studio game will likely contain customization since there is an option for a Wardrobe. There is also the Rank option, which may show players their levels and other character details. However, the most interesting thing that MP1st notes is that the test video shows a character within a multiplayer arena.

Based on the images and test video, MP1st claims that the upcoming title is likely a multiplayer or live-service game with a military theme. Fans may also expect some futuristic elements due to the UI mentioning the word “nanites,” which refers to nanotechnology.

Another possibility is that this game may be another entry to the Syphon Filter franchise. This is another Sony Exclusive series with six games under its banner. Unfortunately, it is more likely that the upcoming title isn’t a sequel to Days Gone or Syphon Filter but instead a live service.

Sony has been trying to launch a popular live-service game that will bring significant profits. This goal has yet to be reached, considering one of its biggest live-service games, Concord, quickly became dead after its release.
