A Florida man calls out Left hypocrisy in a video highlighting a problematic perspective. This video argues that a common ideology for many on the Left is to take the word of Europeans on Fascism, but not Latin Americans living in America on Socialism or Communism. The man posts several videos on his TikTok channel, visionofhalo, where he discusses racism and politics.
The video begins with the Florida man saying, “Leftists are actually shockingly racist if you actually take the time to pay attention.” He uses an example, “In one situation, you’ll have Europeans constantly get online, saying America is devolving into Fascism.” When this happens, “people on the Left will believe them.” They will think about how Europe has previous experience where various countries have “gone into Fascism.” This means they know what they’re saying. He adds, people think, “We should trust the Europeans.” He lists a few examples: “Germany says America is Fascist now, then America must be Fascist.”
However, the opposite occurs when “Latinos come into America and say you have Cuban Americans, you have Venezuelans, say hey, I see you guys are kinda leaning into Communism.” The man adds, “I see you guys are leaning into Socialism, don’t do that.” They’ll state that they’ve “tried that in [their] countries and it did not work.” Instead of taking their word for it, they say, “You guys don’t know what you’re talking about.” The Florida man asks, “Why? They’re foreign, just like the Europeans are foreign. Why do you trust one group of people over another group of people?”
Florida Man Receives Mixed Opinions
He concludes the video, asking, “Are you saying that Latinos are too stupid to know what Communism and Socialism look like?” He adds, “Are you saying that all the people from Latin America where this has been tried are too stupid to know what that looks like?” He concludes, “But the Europeans, we should trust them?” The Florida man’s thoughts have received mixed comments. One says, “Leftists WANT black people to be oppressed and inferior.” One person says, “My Leftist Dad and MIL are some of the most insanely racist people I have ever met.”
Another comment says he’s confused, adding that, “different types of socialism and different types of moral principles.” A fourth says, “I’ve never seen a Leftist cite a random European’s opinion as their ‘proof’ of American fascism.” One comment agrees with him, “the amount of white Leftists who are comfortable being racist to poc right wingers sort of highlights that.” Another says, “If you wanna see the most racist things said in existence – watch a black or hispanic person say they’re conservative to a Leftist.”
One commenter calls him a gem and tells the Florida man, “Your perspective is greatly appreciated.”
